An introduction to

Our Food.

Building on our renowned brewing heritage over the past 40 years, our food offering complements the integrity and quality of all that we do; sourcing locally from our neighbouring farms and producers, making and baking our breads in our kitchen and flavouring our dishes with our beers to create unique tasting food that one can enjoy in good company in this lovely historic building, The King’s Head. For private functions we offer a buffet and a set menu with seasonal additions and changes.

The

Sunday Roast.

Sundays are for relaxing, enjoying family and friends’ company and tucking into a proper roast lunch. Locally reared and delivered fresh each week by our local butcher, we prepare and cook everything fresh on the day. Served with seasonal vegetables and a beef dripping roast potato, Yorkshire pudding and our 6-hour, slow-cooked beef & ale gravy. Sunday roasts are available between September and June. We highly recommend booking for our popular Sunday Roasts well in advance.

Please can I take this opportunity to thank you all for our booked event yesterday afternoon/evening. We all had a great time! Please pass our thanks on to Anett and the bar team, Ben and the Brewery, and the Kitchen staff. Great service and a lovely venue! Look forward to calling in again another time.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you and the team did to make our day special and run so smoothly. The team did everything they could to make the experience great for everyone. The food was fabulous, so tasty and hot. It was ready on time and served swiftly. Everyone had plenty to eat and we were impressed by the quality, the excellent presentation and the small details. We had so many wonderful comments from our guests about the beautiful room and courtyard with it’s lights, the delicious food and the great service.

An absolutely amazing piece of history. One of the oldest pubs in the south of the UK. The beers are fantastic and are all locally produced at the Chiltern Brewery. The pub is in the heart of the busy town of Aylesbury, but step inside and you will somehow be fooled into thinking that you are in a country pub, in a village! Just such a unique atmosphere.

Lovely secluded independent pub serving local beers, ales and food. The courtyard is fantastic in the sun and offers a respite from the busy town centre

Tucked away off Market Square this historic pub, owned but the National trust, is a must visit. The atmosphere is real old world charm, the beer selection is extensive and well kept. The food is of very high quality, try the pastry dishes and the wonderful cheese board. Worth a detour.
