More than a pub — we’re a place with a past
Step behind the scenes at The King’s Head and discover the stories that have shaped one of the very oldest pubs of England – one of local, regional and national significance.
Our guided tours offer a warm, informal look at the history of the building, the people who’ve passed through it, and the role it continues to play.
What the tour includes
Led by George Jenkinson, long-standing Landlord, each tour explores:
– The history of The King’s Head and its place in Aylesbury life
– Stories from behind the bar and cellar
– Rooms and artefacts that guests don’t usually see
– Time for questions and conversation
Tours are relaxed, story-led and unscripted — no two are quite the same!
