The Dining room was built in the late 19th century as part of the renovations commissioned by the Rothschilds between 1877 and 1880 when The King’s Head operated as a hotel. It was built on land that once belonged to the church or friary. The original fireplace, lattice windows, ceiling moulding, oak flooring and oak-panelling give us a glimpse of Victorian splendour.
