Why we collect your data

We collect your data when you make a booking or place an order with us or sign up to our marketing messages. When making a booking or placing an order with us, we keep your data in order to manage your booking or order and to provide you with the best customer service possible. We may contact you if there are changes to your booking or order and we may contact you if our ordering or delivery process changes and we find it relevant to you. If you sign up to our marketing emails, we will keep your data until you request otherwise. All of our marketing emails are on a strict ‘opt-in only’ basis, we will never sign you up without your consent. You can request that we erase your data at anytime. Your data is stored securely whether online or offline.

We may keep ordering related data for tax purposes and applicable audits for up to 7 years.

What data we collect from you

When processing a booking or order we will take your contact details (such as Name, Delivery and/or Billing Address, Telephone number, Email address, Order Details) so that we can keep you updated with the status of your booking or order, menu choices etc. We only hold credit/debit card details with your permission and whilst a payment is pending.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your rights

At anytime you have the right to request the following:

  • That we (The King’s Head) let you know any data we hold for you (the individual)
  • That we make amendments to the data we hold about you
  • That we erase your data
  • That we remove your from our marketing communications

We will respond to all requests about personal data within one month.

NHS Test & Trace

We will assist the NHS Test and Trace service by keeping a temporary record of our customers and visitors for 21 days and assist with any requests for that data if needed.

Third parties

We will never sell your details to third parties. Sometimes we may need to pass on your details to complete orders, but we will always seek your permission first.

Payment gateways share data with the payment provider to process payment.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see our visitor count and other information of our visitors to improve our website, ordering process and services.

Cookies

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

We also use cookies to temporary store your basket items and other information you enter during the ordering process. This is deleted after 2 days.
